Every summer my wife takes the kids back home to Korea. Here they rode a motorcycle ride in Kyongju.	Korea didn't have any McDonald's when I lived there, but now they're common.	We didn't have much of a summer this year in Japan, but we managed get to the beach in late August.
August is festival season all over Japan. Here the kids are dressed in trad- itional Japanese style. Taro doesn't always smile for pictures.	One beautiful September Sunday we rode bicycles around lake Yamanaka at the base of Mt. Fuji. The kids found this trampoline.	Sometimes they like to use the bunk beds to be upside down.
